Clubs

The pandemic has significantly reduced the number of clubs and activities being offered at South Carleton this year. We look forward to offering our usual complement of activities soon.

Appreciation of Diversity

The goal of the AOD Club is to appreciate and showcase different cultures at South Carleton. They meet Wednesdays at lunch. Please contact Mr. Dales, Ms. Cation, or Ms. Maniscalco for more information.

Coffee House

Coffee Houses are the culmination of months of hard work for the musicians and technicians. Contemporary music is performed in a relaxed café-style setting. For 2 hours families and members of the community experience a wide variety of music from artists such as Our Lady Peace, Carrie Underwood, and Toto, as well as a variety of original tracks from our homegrown SC talent pool. Audiences are usually in the 150-300 range. Proceeds from the Coffee Houses fund a musicians' scholarship which helps deserving graduates seeking post secondary schooling in music, audio recording and sound engineering. This year's performances are scheduled for December and April. Please see Mr. McIntyre for more information.

Debate Club

Exercise your powers of persuasion. Bring your knowledge of the world around you and get ready for a lively exchange of ideas. See Ms. McHale for more information.

Gardening Club

Students who like plants and growing things are invited to join the Gardening Club. They meet Thursdays at lunch in the greenhouse. See Mme. Royo for more information.

HOPE Club

HOPE Club (Helping Other People Everywhere) runs activities to raise awareness about mental health and to promote good mental health within the student body. It also raises funds to support various causes both locally and globally. Please contact Ms. Eady, Ms. McHale, Ms. Pattison, or Ms. Wright for more details.

The Leadership Planning Committee is a group of motivated South Carleton students who organize and run Leadership Camp.
