Student transportation cancelled, OCDSB schools remain open

All school buses serving the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board are cancelled today, December 6, 2021, due to poor road conditions.

OCDSB schools are still open. Parents are welcome to drop off their children at school and pick them up at regular bell times. The Extended Day Program is also open for registered students.

The decision to cancel buses is the responsibility of the Ottawa Student Transportation Authority (OSTA), which manages student transportation for the OCDSB and Ottawa Catholic School Board.

If necessary, further announcements regarding cancellations of specific events happening in OCDSB schools today will be shared on school websites, the OCDSB website and Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.

Don’t forget, educators regularly update Google Classroom with learning materials you may use whenever your child is away from school. Your teacher may contact you if there is any further information.

For Students Scheduled for DELF Oral Interviews: Today, December 6, oral interviews for the DELF will proceed at Confederation Education Centre as planned. Students who have an interview scheduled for Monday, December 6 should plan to attend if they are able to get there safely, but to anticipate that there may be delays as a result of the weather. For those students who are unable to make their appointment, they should send an email to [email protected] requesting that it be rescheduled.
