The Ottawa Public Library's Awesome Authors writing contest is accepting submissions until February 24, 2023. The contest is open to students who live in the city of Ottawa, between the ages of 9-18. The contest will be judged by local authors. Winners will receive cash prizes and be published in pot-pourri
There is a limit of one entry per person per category. The six categories are: short story, poetry, comic, nouvelle, poésie and bande dessinée.
Register for workshops to get tips on how to be a better writer. Workshops for ages 13-17 will be held January 21, January 28, February 4 and February 11.
