The Facilities Department is made up of a multi-disciplinary group of professionals who design, build, manage, operate and repair the facilities and properties under the jurisdiction of the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board.
Facilities is organized by function into four distinct divisions (Operations, Maintenance, Design and Construction Services, Energy Management and Conservation) who in cooperation combine their skills and resources to effectively provide a safe, clean and positive educational environment for the students and staff who use the buildings and grounds each school day.
In addition to normal day use, the facilities are used by community groups for activities during non-school times and commercial leases (day care centres, theatrical productions etc). For information about Facility Partnerships please visit the Accommodation and Planning Department webpage.
