Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)

OSAP is a financial aid program that can help you pay for college or university. OSAP is open to Ontario residents who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons. Other eligibility criteria may apply.

Admission Scholarships

Given in recognition of outstanding achievement.  May be in the form of certificates, plaques, or money.

A non-repayable grant of money awarded primarily based on financial need, but academic achievement is often considered.

A non-repayable grant of money awarded to a student to help finance further education.  Most are based on merit (i.e. academic achievement to athletics).

A scholarship or award given to a student entering their first year at post-secondary institution.

 

Richmond Munster Minor Hockey Association Bursary

The Richmond Munster Minor Hockey Association is offering one or more $500 bursaries to RMMHA members who qualify based on the following selection criteria:
  • be a current member of the RMMHA in good standing as defined by the constitution of the RMMHA*
  • have been a member of the RMMHA in ‘good standing’ for a minimum of 5 years
  • be attending a post-secondary institution or apprenticeship program in the upcoming year
  • have maintained a high standard of academic excellence (minimum 65% average)
  • be active as a mentor to others both in school and on the ice
How to Apply

Applicants must submit a one-page essay outlining why they feel they should be selected as this year’s award recipient. This essay should make note of such things as how they have demonstrated leadership and academic excellence, how they have contributed to their community (school, hockey, etc.), and make mention of their goals in pursuing a post-secondary or apprenticeship program in the upcoming year. The applicants must identify which High School they attend for award presentation coordination.

Applications must be submitted by email to the rmmha at [email protected] no later than Friday April 29, 2022.


Stittsville District Lions Club

The Stittsville District Lions Club supports academic achievement by awarding bursaries to 5 first year college or university students of $1000.00 dollars each.

These bursaries are for any high school student within the Stittsville District Lions area which is Stittsville, Richmond, Carp, Munster and rural areas.


 

Weston Family Scholarship - for students entering a program in the skilled trades at Algonquin College.
