Indigenous Summer Learning Program

Indigenous Summer Learning, earn a credit through cultural connection

This summer, the OCDSB Indigenous Education Team is excited to offer an engaging Indigenous Summer Learning program for First Nation, Inuit and Métis students who have completed Grade 10 English

The program will run from July 7th to 25th, 2025, with sessions from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Confederation Education Centre (1645 Woodroffe Avenue, Nepean).

It provides a unique opportunity for cultural and academic growth through:

  • Indigenous language learning;
  • Learning on the land, including Days on the Land at the MacSkimming Outdoor Education Centre;
  • Collaboration and connections with community partners; and
  • The opportunity to earn a Grade 11 English credit (NBE3C or NBE3U).

Participants will deepen their connection to traditional knowledge, gain diverse perspectives and advance their academic goals in a supportive and culturally relevant context.
