OCDSB students will register for their courses via the Student Portal using Xello. Login using your OCDSB email address and password, then go to the Grade 7-12 waffle to locate Xello.

Considering OCVSS?
The OCVSS Intent to Register declaration is due: Tuesday, February 22, 2022. This is to declare their intent to register with the Ottawa Carleton Virtual Secondary School (OCVSS) for the 2022-2023 school year. This form is required for those students new or continuing at OCVSS for the 2022-23 school year.

✔ Proof of Age/Birthdate Verification – ONE of the following:
- Birth Certificate (if born in Canada)
- Passport
- Immigration Papers
- Canadian Citizenship (if born outside of Canada)
✔ Proof of Address within the South Carleton High School boundaries – TWO of the following:
- Purchase agreement, property deed or rental agreement
- Property tax bill
- Current bank statement
- Current utility bill
- Current telephone, cable or internet bill
✔ Most recent report card - Grade 9
✔ Ontario Student Transcript or Credit Counselling Summary - Grades 10-12

Mandatory eLearning Graduation Requirement and Opt-out Information
The Ministry of Education has announced that students currently in grade 10 and below are subject to a new mandatory eLearning graduation requirement. Students who would like to opt-out of this requirement can do so using this form. Please note, current grade 10 students will receive one eLearning credit due to their experiences with pandemic learning, and current grade 11 and 12 students are exempted from the requirement and do not need to complete the opt-out form. South Carleton offers a wide variety of courses in all subjects. Informed course selection is key to being prepared for life after high school, whether that includes work, apprenticeship in a trade, college, or university. The following resources may be helpful as you make these decisions. You may also consult your teachers and guidance counsellor for advice.
Google Meet Drop-In Sessions
Students are invited to attend daily drop-in sessions via Google Meet with Guidance Counsellors. The sessions will be held at lunch from February 15 -25. You may also submit questions using this form.

Grade 12 Students
Any grade 12 student wishing to return to South Carleton for a victory lap must make an appointment with their Guidance Counsellor before March 3.
