The following courses are offered through the Guidance Department:

GLC2O(F) Career Studies (0.5 credit)

Teach goal setting; knowledge of transferable skills; decision making; grad requirements; resume writing; job search techniques; interviewing skills; career planning; academic planning; teamwork; learning how to research post secondary options and requirements; self-assessment; interest tools, learning styles, intelligence, job trends and contacting professionals in the community to do class presentations. IDC4U Leadership Development (LINK CREW)

Link crew is a comprehensive combination of academic work in the form of assignments, reflections and projects; and experiential learning in the form of practical leadership activities, large group events, games and discussions. The topics include, school orientation set up and organization, running school based events, self-esteem, group skills, relationship skills, resilience and optimism, leadership styles and motivation. GPP3O Peer Tutoring

This course prepares and motivates students to provide leadership and assistance to their school and community. This experiential learning experience will enhance students' skills in communication, coaching, leadership, teamwork and teaching. By the end of the course students will demonstrate an understanding of their own learning style, multiple intelligences and those of their students; develop their knowledge and awareness of interpersonal and interpersonal issues; design and teach a lesson or prepare a presentation and submit a reflection paper about their experiences as a Peer Tutor.
